Quelle a été la première chose que vous avez achetée? Y a-t-il quelque chose que vous souhaitez transmettre? Si vous étiez un Pharaon, avec quels objets aimeriez-vous être enterré?
« Still Life » (nature morte en anglais) est une pièce qui met l’accent sur notre relation avec les objets et les choses. Dans une performance, Agata Maszkiewicz et Vincent Tirmarche donnent vie aux histoires de Jenny, Marco, Alex et Emmy.
La danseuse (Agata) sur scène interagit avec son environnement, la nature des choses et la mort. En évitant la présence réelle d’objets sur scène, elle joue avec les notions de devenir, s’adapter, découvrir, apparaître, refaire, créer. Son corps reproduit, agit, répète, s’arrête, redémarre, repose. La danse ainsi chorégraphiée avec les costumes, la lumière, le son et les vidéos, permet de créer une nature morte en soi.

STILL LIFE
Is there something you would like to pass on? If you were a Pharaon, what thing would you like to be buried with?
Still life is a piece that focuses on our relation with objects and things. In a performance-long interview, Agata Maszkiewicz together with Vincent Tirmarche bring into life the stories of Jenny, Marco, Alex and Emmy.
As a response to that, a dancer on stage is dealing with the surrounding, the nature of things and death. Avoiding the real presence of any object on stage, she plays with the notions of becoming, adjusting, discovering, appearing, redoing, creating. Her body replays, acts, repeats, gets still, restarts, rests. The dance choreographed together with costumes, the light, the sound and the videos, manages to create a still-life in itself.

Czy pamiętasz swoją pierwszą kupioną rzecz? Czy jest coś, co chciałabyś przekazać innym po śmierci? Gdybyś był Faraonem, z czym chciałbyś zostać pochowany?
Still life (martwa natura) to spektakl, który skupia się na relacji człowieka z codziennymi przedmiotami i naturą. W godzinnym wywiadzie/performansie, Agata Maszkiewicz wraz z Vincentem Tirmarche przywołują do życia wypowiedzi Alexa, Jenny, Marco i Emmy na temat ich najbliższego otoczenia, natury rzeczy oraz śmierci. Na scenie, unikając fizycznej obecności przedmiotów, tancerka poprzez ruch stara się odnieść do pytań postawionych swoim rozmówcom. Angażując swoje ciało bada granice między trwaniem a przemijaniem, bezruchem a zamieraniem, stawaniem się a przepoczwarzaniem zwodząc przy tym zmysły publiczności, ich poczucie czasu i przestrzeni. W efekcie kolażowa kompozycja tańca, światła, kostiumów oraz projekcji wideo staje się Martwą Naturą per se.
